“I want to taste you tonight.”

With chemistry this hot, it’s worth getting burned…

Billionaire Jack Grant is totally off-limits to Gemma Picton. He’s wild, deliciously dangerous…and her boss. When working late turns X-rated, it’s better than her wildest imaginings—and Gemma’s imagined a lot! But Jack has major emotional baggage, so when Gemma starts wanting to heal his heart as well as enjoy his body, she knows she’s in big trouble…

~Review~

*a copy was provided by NetGalley*

Oh my, Oh my! I don’t even know what to say, but this was one hot read! A forbidden work romance that was sweet, funny, and sexy.

Off Limits is a book about Gemma and Jack. Jack is Gemma’s boss and that’s why there cannot be a sexual relationship between them, even though they both want it. One day Jack’s crossed the line and since that day, they are addicted to each other. But will it last?

This is is a great example of an unconventional relationship portrayed the right way, it works because neither Gemma nor Jack WANT a conventional sort of relationship and with a happy ending that was totally believable for the two characters in question.

I loved this book. Jack was the perfect emotionally damaged Alphahole boss who was arrogant and aggressive in his pursuit of Gemma. And good Lord did he pursue her. The sexytimes in this novel were SCORCHING hot, they are graphic and they start early on. It’s not for the faint-hearted, but you could probably have guessed that from the cover..

And Gemma was the perfect sassy counterpart to him. I absolutely loved Gemma’s fierce, determined approach to life, her absolute refusal to compromise her principles for anyone. She gave as good as she got and didn’t let him walk all over her. She was fantastic and honestly this short book has been more enjoyable than longer novels I’ve read recently. And her relationship with her grandmother the duchess was fabulous; I could have read a whole novel on the two of them alone.

I loved this book but I feel like it was missing something in the build up of their relationship. And the last few chapters seemed rushed. Nonetheless, I still loved how it ended, they were perfect in the end.

This is my first book by this author and it won’t be my last. I will now devour anything by this author! I highly recommend it!

Clare ConnellyClare Connelly grew up in a small country town in Australia. Surrounded by rainforests, and

rickety old timber houses, magic was thick in the air, and stories and storytelling were a huge part of her childhood.

From early on in life, Clare realised her favourite books were romance stories, and read voraciously. Anything from Jane Austen to Georgette Heyer, to Mills & Boon and (more recently) 50 Shades, Clare is a romance devotee. She first turned her hand to penning a novel at fifteen (if memory serves, it was something about a glamorous fashion model who fell foul of a high-end designer. ~Description~

The balance of good and evil has been left in the hands of a thirteen year old…

Since the beginning of time, Karmanic matter worked silently and unassisted keeping good and evil in balance, until growing greed in the world meant Karma couldn’t keep up. As World War I rages, the secret Karmanic Sovereign Legion works behind the scenes to help Karma.

A suspicious train accident and an odd stone-shaped object that belonged to his father thrust Cole McCarthy and two schoolmates into the middle of this battle to keep dark forces in check.

With only the powerful stone, a letter, and grandfatherly Norm to guide them, the trio must unravel clues and tap into unknown strengths to discover who Cole’s father really was and keep themselves and those they love safe.

~Review~

~a copy was provided by the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review~

This book was better than I had expected. The Blue Moon Narthex was like a mix between Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, Divergent and several other action/fantasy/really good books, all with a unique twist of its own. There is so much going on in this book that you can really fly through it. There were times while reading it that I was thinking just one more chapter and then the next thing you know I was flying through the pages wanting to know what was going to happen next. I like the concept of the sliding and Coreseum and KSL. At times it was hard to wrap my head around everything that was happening because there was so information. I am looking forward to finding out what is going to happen in the later books.

Since the beginning of time, Karmanic matter worked silently and unassisted keeping good and evil in balance, until growing greed in the world meant Karma couldn’t keep up. As World War I rages, the secret Karmanic Sovereign Legion works behind the scenes to help Karma.

A suspicious train accident and an odd stone shaped object that belonged to his father thrust Cole McCarthy and two schoolmates into the middle of this battle to keep dark forces in check.
After a dangerous encounter with a strange creature, Cole, along with his two best friends, Britton and Sophie, is transported to a secret society called Coreseum, filled with those that have dedicated their lives to keeping the balance between good and bad karma. To help them do this, they use a Narthex, a stone that allows them to use ‘karmanic power’ to move through time and space to wherever they want and need to go.
With only the powerful stone, a letter, and grandfatherly Norm to guide them, the trio must unravel clues and tap into unknown strengths to discover who Cole’s father really as and keep themselves and those they love safe.

I had a lot of fun reading this book. Author N.J. Donner does a fantastic job at building this world of Narthex’s, chasers, and karmanic matter. Having it set it the early 1900’s adds an interesting dynamic, and Donner works it well into the story. Something I hope to see in the sequel is more character building for the side characters. I found them to be so interesting and I would love to learn more about them!

The Blue Moon Narthex has adventure, friendship, revenge, and hope. I highly recommend it!

~Description~

Who can resist a pint-sized female with luscious curves stranded in a parking lot? Not Josh McMann. It’s his pleasure to save Ness Bowen, especially given the instant sensual chemistry that explodes between them. When she wrecks her car on the way to meet him for dinner, he saves her once again. And dinner at home takes on a whole new meaning as the sexual pull becomes too strong for either to ignore. The more they see each other, the more intense and erotic the sex becomes.

But Ness sees Josh as a player, and she’s been dumped by men like him who were always looking for the next conquest. Josh has his own trust issues, having been burned by women interested only in his money and power.

When a breakfast date goes awry and Ness thinks she’s been dumped once again, it takes a lot of fancy maneuvering from Josh to make amends.

~Review~

*a copy was provided via Netgalley*

Erected by Desiree Holt is a captivating and fun erotic romance. It’s well-written and the characters stole my heart. Ness & Josh seem like normal average people that you might know in real life, BUT they have each had a string of bad relationshops and have decided to close themselves off so they won’t get hurt again…

Josh McMann is literally sex on a stick, tall, gorgeous, rich and fun. But all those attributes are his downfall, too. He feels destined to never know what is truly in a woman’s heart, because he believes all they ever see is his pretty face and especially his thick wallet. He’s forever the gentleman and ever one to help those in need. He’s a true white knight.

Vanessa (Ness) Bowen is a very successful, intelligent beautiful business woman that has been sorely used by her last several relationships. And much like Josh she is sooo done with the opposite sex. No more arrogant self serving men for her. She would rather go without then deal with men like that anymore.

Ness didn’t have the best first impression on Josh, she was hysterical, I mean who would blame her? She’s been through a lot recently, she was in an accident and has a broken ankle, she has a cast on and everything, but having her car ‘stolen’ (towed), really made her go crazy. Josh’s first impression of her was he knew how to handle crazy, and throughout the book, he seems pretty confident when pursuing her.

A very quick read, with a ton of hot, hot sex! I love the emotional connection between the characters. they are strong willed and explosive when they come together. There were moments of laughter and anguish, but all-in-all it’s a story about finding love and holding on to it. I wish it was longer! I can’t wait to read more from this author~

When you want a romance that will singe your fingers, Erected is the book for you! I highly recommend it!

~Review~

~This copy was provided by the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review~

This book is great for fans of fantasy that really like to explore new worlds.

The Broken Destiny is a book about change and finding a place in the world. A long time after when Earth was destroyed, Poseidon is the new resident planet for human beings, along with others; the local Zulus and Minoans. The story follows Ava, one of the third generation Broken living on Poseidon after the destruction of Earth.  Ava, our main character, is starting to Change, and this isn’t a good thing, well at least to some. Ava always knew she is different from others, third generation of the broken whose bloodline came from both human and Minoan. After surviving an attack from Zulus and rescued by a handsome Minoan warrior, she was brought to Minoan village where she begins to discover more about her origin and the prophecy that can change fate of the whole planet.  I had mixed feelings about Ava, she’s self-centered which drew away from reading and enjoying the book. What kept me wanting to read more was the actual plot and secondary characters…

The world that the author created is complex, but really interesting. I wanted to learn even more about it than we did, I feel like there are many things that could be improved.  Overall, this is a good start to the Broken series, I can’t wait to explore her world more in the next book. Nevertheless, this story is extremely creative and unique. I recommend it!

~Description~

When Chicago real estate tycoon Harvey Zale pings a “friend of a friend” with a flirtatious text, he never expects to start an addictive sexting affair with a complete stranger. He’s a billionaire who can get any woman he wants, but he can’t have her—his mysterious, sultry Contessa, who inspires his nightly confessions and soothes more than just his conscience from the consequences of his own shallow ambitions.

He’s determined to build the tallest towers in the world and he needs to sell his Chicago riverfront property to finance it. But when Alma Castillo, the Lara Croft of antique hunters, shows up on his land, claiming the existence of a priceless Tiffany stained-glass window and doing everything in her power to muck up his deal, he knows he’s got more than a stray cat to collar and tame. She’s not only on a mission to save long-lost antiques; she’s also on a personal crusade to hate his guts.

He would know. She served him divorce papers a year ago, just to prove it.

And he’d care a helluva lot more if his ex-wife’s sassy tongue and wicked intelligence didn’t turn him on every time she called him “a**hole” and if she didn’t look so damn cute in those baggy overalls, disguising her affinity for being naughty as much as being nice.

Perhaps even as naughty as his Contessa, who unlike Alma, doesn’t know anything about his real identity or flawed, billionaire reputation, which flames his desires to escalate their fantasy relationship into the reality of one scorching night of mindblowing…

If he could just get his mind off his ex-wife—the only woman he’s ever truly loved. God, woman…if she would just let him pleasure her scornful frown and turn it oh, oh, oooohhhh so upside down, maybe he could convince her to marry him again.

But no one ever said it was easy being a greedy opportunistic billionaire bastard, especially one who happens to know there’s nothing better than make-up sex with an ex…

Please note that all of Ms. Hawthorne’s billionaire romances are stand-alone novels set in Chicago with minor subplots and secondary characters that intersect, but each book can be read and enjoyed in any order.

~Review~

*a copy was provided via Netgalley*

First off, I looove the cover. ^-^

I wasn’t sure what to expect at first.. but from the title (Ex’s – A Second Chance Billionaire Romance) I could kind of guess.  It is funny, emotional and sexy. This is the first time I am reading a book by Aria Hawthorne and I am glad I did.

Alma & Harvey are the main characters, they were previously married for almost five years before they divorced. I thought Harvey and Alma had great chemistry and enjoyed this story thoroughly.  The writing just came alive with their chemistry. I don’t know who I loved more – Aria with her stubborn intelligence or Harvey with his cockiness and humor.

Alma is a preservationist who loves and specializes in stained glass windows. She is hired to make a determination on whether a building is historical and needs preserved or allowed to be torn down by none other than her ex-husband, Harvey, ahhhh sooo awkward! haha!  They end up on a treasure hunt but, what they discover throughout their journey is so much more than what they expected. A year after her divorce, she’s stooped to sexting a mysterious man…which actually may be the best thing going in her life. This guy has to be better than her ex, even though he’s a rich powerful ass.

Harvey’s flirty, funny, sexy and sweet. Harvey isn’t like the typical alpha billionaires usually seen in romance books, which is what I loved the most.He is human with his flaws, but not without his cockiness 😉 He has a great sense of humor and I loved his witty conversations with Alma! When he loved he gave it his all, without giving up.He’s a billionaire architect in the process of demolishing an old train depot. has lost his flair for finding treasures in the rough and fixing them up with Alma’s help. It became more about the money to him, which Alma couldn’t get behind.

To be honest, there were a few parts that I felt were unrealistic; when Alma first talked on the phone with the “mysterious guy” (who’s actually Harvey, her ex husband…) she’s been texting. They did in fact see each other the same day.. In real life people’s voices don’t necessarily sound different on the phone.. sooo just really unrealistic…like how the heck did they not recognize each other’s voices!? :c  Also, wondering why Alma couldn’t tell it wasn’t him in the first place?.. I mean, Harvey is a billionaire, and he told her and made her know that when they were texting. How many billionaires are in their city, jeeeez. And visa versa, Harvey not noticing this “mystery girl” (Alma), acting exactly as Alma would.  🤔🤔🤔🤔

Overall, kinda annoying at times, but It’s an enjoyable story. This is the first book by this author but I will defiantly her give her books another try! I recommend it!

And when the covert organization seeking to recruit her crosses the line by kidnapping her friend, it will discover just how far Anna is willing to go to bring it down.

~Review~

*a copy was provided via Netgalley*

A lot better than I expected. It kinda reminded me of The Host by Stephanie Meyer, but 100 times better, with way more detail and uniqueness.  I absolutely loved this book and thought it was great. The idea of having people in your head makes for an interesting story and I loved the way the author presented in the book.

The Delphi Effect is an extremely action packed adventure from start to finish with many paranormal elements along with some science fiction mixed into an intense thrill ride. This series is classified young adult but I would say with this one the characters and action seemed more on the mature side than a typical young adult read.

The story starts off with Anna’s ability to harbor and speak with ghosts. At the age of three, she was left in a food court with a note taped to her, that simply read her name, date of birth and ‘this child is possessed’. Since then, she has grown up in various foster homes, friendless besides a younger adoptive brother named Deo.

As the book goes on many other things added into the mix like, clairvoyance, psychic abilities, telekinesis and so on. Along with moving from revenge for murder into a much bigger conspiracy involved. So much to keep one’s attention this one certainly broke the typical young adult mold.

The writing is fantastic and Anna’s character is really relatable. Her voice is spot on for a teenager, and I loved how she can be immediately abrasive to her ‘hitchers’. This was such a good start to a series, especially with the cliffhanger ending!

Ahhhhh….I wish that the next books in the trilogy were out already! I neeeeeed to know what happens next. I highly recommend it!
