~Description~

Talented chef Meg Delaney hasn’t spoken to her cheating ex-fiancé, Matt Midland, for two years. Ditching him at the altar after blurting out “I can’t” instead of “I do” would sour any relationship. But now, just as Meg is finally ready to bury the hatchet, she learns closure is permanently off the menu. And the kicker? Matt’s brother, Kyle, is back in her life, stirring up feelings that are equal parts guilt and lust.

Meg was the best thing that never happened to Kyle. He couldn’t make a move on his brother’s girlfriend—even if Matt didn’t value her nearly enough. The situation is even more complicated now that Meg’s bestselling aphrodisiac cookbook has spawned a legal battle with the Midlands. Maybe he should stay away. But love, like family, plays by its own rules. And the one woman he shouldn’t want might be the only one who’s perfect for him.

Beautiful, funny, relatable~

I was kind of unsure of how I would like this novel, but I’m happy I read it. I really enjoyed reading this; it was interesting, different and fresh.

Now That It’s You easily hooked me into this story right from the start. You have the whole range of emotions played throughout the book as the characters deal with a loss, come together for a romance, have a bit of controversy over the estate and a whole other range of things. Meg and Kyle seem to keep crossing paths now that Matt is gone and the two start to develop a bit of a relationship. And it’s obvious that they’ve liked/loved each other from when the first met. Matt’s death really brought them together. One of my favorite parts was when Meg and Kyle joined the LARPers (Live Action Roleplaying); it was fun and a really creative bit :3

The way the author describes the way Kyle feels about Meg and vice versa, you can tell they really want to be together.  Kyle really remembers everything about her and it’s cute and sweet; little details of when Matt, him and Meg did things together and such. But they have this problem where everything seems to be revolved around Matt (Meg’s ex-fiancé, also Kyle’s brother). Matt just keeps coming up, in every scenario. I don’t know why but I kind of found that frustrating; Matt’s name popping up everywhere. Just wish they had gotten together sooner rather than later, with them moving forward from Matt’s death, and always basically contemplating whether it’s right to be with each other. Ahahah I don’t know why but I reallllllyyyyy dislike the fact that Matt has had such an impact on Meg’s life… She’s stuck and it’s like she cannot move on… Yes, she and Matt were together for a decade, but he’s dead, and I know she didn’t get to say good bye or whatever but she deserves too, especially since he cheated on her…

But enough about that…

ahhhh <33 I love Meg and Kyle <3333

Overall, it was amazing, even though I do wish that some of the outcomes were different, that doesn’t change the fact that, despite my melancholy, I found this book to be fun and beautiful and not what I expected. The overall ending was fitting for this couple. I recommend it, if you want a fun, light read~

Lol but I don’t think I will ever get over Matt’s name/His death being mentioned so much, I felt like it was overly dramatic in a way  xD

An erotic romance novel perfect for fans of 50 Shades of Grey and Sylvia Day’s Crossfire series. The Silver Chain is the first in the sexy, passionate and addictive Unbreakable Trilogy by Primula Bond.

~Review~

**An ARC was provided by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review**

I found it similar to FSOG in only the most general sense (older millionaire male, younger struggling female)…

We first meet Serena as she is running from something: it isn’t until further in we realize that she is running from a life that to this point has been abusive and dream crushing, and only running away will let her follow her dream of being a photographer. She has a fairly lonely existence, with horrible parental figures and not much support or belief in her: so the interest in Gustav is understandable.

When Serena meets Gustav Levi. A dark and handsome stranger with a vampirical vibe. Gustav is far older than Serena, well placed in his gallery and quite successful his last relationship sounded the death knell on his ability to trust in a relationship.

From the moment they Gustav and Serena meet, they are instantly attracted to one another.

I loved this book! This was captivating and well written with characters that leapt off the page and is definitely just as good if not better than 50 shades.

I CAN’T WAIT for book 2!! The cliff-hanger really left me hanging! I want to know what happens with Serena and Gustav!!

Happy Reading!

Review:

**An ARC was provided by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review**

 Loved this novel!

I went into this book eager and excited to learn more about this thing called “The Testing.” Having Cia’s father’s last departing words in the summary piqued my interest, big time. Why can’t you trust anyone?! What’s so dark about being tested to further your education?

I could not wait to dive into this world. I had to hold off for a couple of weeks due to scheduling but once I finally started reading, I couldn’t set it down! School and life demanded my attention so unfortunately, I had to stop reading. But the next minute I was free, I was grabbing this book up again. Needless to say, THE TESTING doesn’t disappoint!
Cia and the 3 other members of her colony are the first chosen candidates from Five Lakes in years. The competition sees them as no threat. The Testing is a series of tests that not only test the candidates’ intellect, but also their character, leadership, ability to work in group, and survive. *cue creepy music* Now, while I can see how some people drew parallels to the HUNGER GAMES, this book has its own flare, spice, and really, its own unique premise. THE TESTING is all about learning who you can and cannot trust, being able to decipher the Testing officials cryptic directions, outsmarting said directions and the other competition, and using the skills and knowledge that has been instilled in you since birth to come out of the Testing alive. This book is a smart book. After reading it and seeing just how brilliant Cia is and her ability to figure out what the Testing officials were actually looking for, I realized I’d probably fail the test. Hard. There are some devious candidates who are willingly to do almost anything to pass the tests. And while the candidates do have to go through a certain test that sees their ability to survive on the ravaged planet, those are the only two ways I would really compare it to The HUNGER GAMES.
To sum everything up: I would definitely recommend this book to all dystopian/post-apocalyptic fans! While there may be some aspects that The HUNGER GAMES fans would enjoy, Joelle Charbonneau has created a unique world with a rigorous and daunting Testing regimen that I don’t think I would even be able to pass. She uses syntax to her and the Testing officials advantage, challenging readers to see if they are paying as careful attention as is required for the candidates to move on to the next round. With a realistic and admirable main character, THE TESTING is sure to keep your attention until the very last sentence. But be careful of who you decide to trust!

Happy Reading!

Review:
**ARC was provided by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review**

The Fetish Box, Part Two: What Escapes starts off where the first novel ended. It’s so much hotter than the first.  Lots of steamy and intense romance, and has a little more depth than Part One.

Someone wants to destroy the Fetish Box and is willing to hurt anyone who stands in the way. Mary just arrived a day ago and now her life has turned upside down. I was riveted from start to finish and just like the first part I want more. I can’t wait till part three. The only thing that I didn’t like about this book is that I have to wait to see what happens next.

Amanda’s feelings for John grow and Max is still the saucy and dangerous hot guy. As more characters join the book, its easy to see that they are close and protective of anything to do with Amanda’s mom.
Again, the erotica is not overly done, although, almost too casual, the plot is getting better and better as the tension and mystery grows.

It’s slightly shorter than the first and a good read, I could not put it down! There is a third part in this series, which I will definitely be reading, I want to know what happens next!!

Review:

**ARC was provided by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review**

The Fetish Box: Open All Night is a short read. It’s about a young girl, Mary, who was raised by her grandmother. She did not know her mother, and her father wasn’t around that much. After finding out her mother had passed, she was left multiple things in her Will, including The Fetish Box….a sex store.

The intro was great, I loved being inside Mary’s mind and hearing about her past. I loved the description of her mums house and her plans. Then it all started going a little different, when she meets John and Max.
John: He is an ex-military soldier. After and IED accident in Afghanistan he is left with a few burn scars on his face….but that does not make him any-less attractive, more interesting though. He lives above The Fetish Box Store.

Max: He’s straight forward, knows what he wants and goes for it. He is from Ireland and has a sexy accent. He owns the other half of the bar in which Mary inherited.

Just as the story starts to get good, you’re left hanging… 😦

The overall story line is good, I did like the characters, you can feel yourself in the scene which is hard to achieve so that’s why I gave it a little higher rating. It is just a bit all over the place, but I will definitely read the next novel, just to see what happens next!

Happy Reading!!
