~Description~

With his tight leather pants and a sharp edge that makes him dangerous, Jet Keller is every girl’s rock and roll fantasy. But Ayden Cross is done walking on the wild side with bad boys. She doesn’t want to give in to the heat she sees in Jet’s dark, haunted eyes. She’s afraid of getting burned from the sparks of their spontaneous combustion, even as his touch sets her on fire.

Jet can’t resist the Southern Belle with mile-long legs in cowboy boots who defies his every expectation. Yet the closer he feels to Ayden, the less he seems to know her. While he’s tempted to get under her skin and undo her in every way, he knows firsthand what happens to two people with very different ideas about relationships.

Will the blaze burn into an enduring love. . . or will it consume their dreams and turn them to ashes?

~Review~

First off, I’ve been loving this series so far! I absolutely loved Rule, and immediately ordered the rest of the series after finishing the first novel.

Jet is a story about a couple who aren’t as different as they seem to think. Jet and Ayden have been attracted to each other from the moment they met.  Ayden is a country girl from Kentucky with a past that she isn’t proud of and Jet is a rock and roll musician that every girl dreams of falling in love with. They are living as roommates trying to keep a platonic relationship, but still having to deal with these romantic feelings that they try to hide from each other.

Jet was a captivating combination of fiery chemistry, angsty push and pull, family drama, and a little bit of danger. Jet and Ayden may look like opposites on the outside, but they have more in common in the way of family disappointment, so it was easy for them to relate and understand each other. Both of them faced the sad reality of having a parent that didn’t put them first. There were obstacles along the way of their romance, and a few times I seriously wanted to strangle Ayden, but I knew it would all turn out.

I think it could have been a bit longer with more of their relationship developing. Overall, this is a great read and I will be continuing with the next book in the series. I highly recommend it!

~Description~

Opposites in every way . . . except the one that matters

Shaw Landon loved Rule Archer from the moment she laid eyes on him. Rule is everything a straight-A pre-med student like Shaw shouldn’t want—and the only person she’s never tried to please. She isn’t afraid of his scary piercings and tattoos or his wild attitude. Though she knows that Rule is wrong for her, her heart just won’t listen.

To a rebel like Rule Archer, Shaw Landon is a stuck-up, perfect princess—and his dead twin brother’s girl. She lives by other people’s rules; he makes his own. He doesn’t have time for a good girl like Shaw—even if she’s the only one who can see the person he truly is.

But a short skirt, too many birthday cocktails, and spilled secrets lead to a night neither can forget. Now, Shaw and Rule have to figure out how a girl like her and a guy like him are supposed to be together without destroying their love . . . or each other.

~Review~

I was surprised at how much I loved this book. A story of opposites attract and all the juicy bits in between. I loved the plot, the characters (main and supporting), the romance, the angst, the heartache most of all I loved sharing this journey. *sigh* I don’t think I’ve read a book with so many amazingly named characters (Rule, Shaw, Remy, Rome, Jet, Ayden, Cora) need I go on … ?

Rule and Shaw both have had life shit on them. Going through something so tragic that will break your heart in to little pieces. Shaw does everything that everyone wants her to. She is little miss perfect. A little too perfect. But her passion for Rule shows in the entire book. I hurt for her for every single time in the beginning she was hiding when all Rule needed to do was open his damn eyes. But Rule has so much pain burned inside of him. He pushes everyone out of his way, jumps from one, one night stand to the next. While Shaw is seating there seeing the entire after fold of it. But you can’t help but love Rule. He makes it towards it’s impossible to love him, but for me it was easy to come.

Shaw Landon has been in love with Rule Archer FOREVER! She’s been drooling over him on the inside, but hides her lust behind the disgusted scowl she wears on her face when around him. When she finally decides to take the mask off, the questions start flying. Yeah, it’s complicated, but it is sexy and fun. Along with all the ink on his body and metal in his face and o*cough cough*… other places, comes the bad boy attitude and type of dominance and possessiveness that makes other boys definitely NOT want to fuck with his woman!  He thinks being in Shaw’s life for good means he has to clean up his act, but what she really wants is the man she has loved her entire life. Being good is tough and being bad comes easy for Rule.

I can not stress how much I loved this book. I just love stories where the characters have known each other for ever and eventually get it together. There’s something about the intimacy and connection that only a complicated history can add to a relationship. The book is super hot and the sexual chemistry between Shaw and Rule is scrumptious! hehe, I highly recommend it!
