Two months after dying, seventeen-year-old witch Graylee Perez wakes up in her twin sister Charlene’s body.
Until Gray finds a way back inside her own body, she’s stuck being Charlene every twenty-hour hours. Her sister has left precise instructions on how Gray should dress and behave. Looking like a prep isn’t half as bad as hanging out with Charlene’s snotty friends and gropey boyfriend. The “normals” of McKinley High might be quick to write her behavior off as post-traumatic stress, but warlock Raj McKenna is the only person who suspects Gray has returned from the dead. Now Gray has to solve the mystery of her death and resurrection and disentangle herself from Charlene’s body before she disappears for good.***Entangled is a young adult paranormal fantasy romance suitable for ages 15 and up.***

Review:

***I received a copy from Nikki Jefford for an honest review***

First off:OMG THE COVER!!! Such a pretty cover.  I’ve seen people say that it has nothing to do with the story, but after having read this book, I think they are wrong.  Without giving away too many spoilers, I will use the blurb to explain.
Resurrection spell–the white and snow to me represents death and the flower rejuvenation. Is the girl accepting the flower or offering it?  I’m not sure, but I’ll leave it at that.  You can be the judge after you have read the book 🙂

I liked the idea of Entangled when I saw it.  It reminded me of Auracle and, since I loved that book, I decided to give it a try. And I’m glad I did.

In Entangled we are introduced to Graylee “Gray” and Charlene Perez.  They are Identical twins who share the same face but are totally different in every way. Except that both twins are witches and are always trying to be a step ahead of each other. We have Gray- the quiet, over-achiever, & wears her heart on a sleeve…  Then we have Charlene -the Popular, outgoing, mean twin who always gets her way.
This book was one of those that I could not put down, and with the full of the novel, the same thing happened.  I found Jefford’s take on magic, how it works, and spell casting to be very fascinating.
Graylee is the nice twin.  Her sister Charlene is a stereotypical popular girl hell-bent on keeping her high school A-list status. Her character was believable if despicable and I thought she made an excellent antagonist.  I’m not even sure how they share the same DNA. However, because of this, it’s very easy to root for Gray.  She’s nice, smart, and determined.  Though she is in a horrible situation, through no fault of her own, she stays strong and does her best to fix it.  She is not an outstanding heroine, but she is likable.  Raj was amazing. I must say, it is nice seeing multi-ethnicity in a YA.  He has a bad rep because of a situation that happened a few years back and he has not been able to fix it.  However, he is not a stereotypical bad boy.  He does not push Gray away “for her own safety.”  Yes, I’m talking about you, Edward.  Raj was so sweet.  Once he realized his feelings for Gray, he did everything he could to help her. He was absolutely determined to help her find a way out of the mess she was embroiled in. Raj was handsome, protective, adorable, endearing.  What isn’t there to love about such a fantastic guy?
The plot was very entertaining. It was well drawn out and kept me interested the whole time. The ending was sweet. There are two more books after this one, but Entangled could act as a stand-alone.  All the loose ends are tied up.
I highly recommend this novel, because of its Kick-ass Twitches, Bad-ass warlocks, A surprising yet sweet romance, revenge, and Good VS.  Evil twin.  This story is Magical, hip and you will not want to put it down, and when you do, it will be to read the next instalment!
