The apprenticeship is over—now the real test has begun.
When word that Yelena is a Soulfinder—able to capture and release souls—spreads like wildfire, people grow uneasy. Already Yelena’s unusual abilities and past have set her apart. As the Council debates Yelena’s fate, she receives a disturbing message: a plot is rising against her homeland, led by a murderous sorcerer she has defeated before….
Honor sets Yelena on a path that will test the limits of her skills, and the hope of reuniting with her beloved spurs her onward. Her journey is fraught with allies, enemies, lovers and would-be assassins, each of questionable loyalty. Yelena will have but one chance to prove herself—and save the land she holds dear. Review: OMFG! One of my fave series! From the very first page in the first book Yelena’s fascinating tale has captivated me. I’ve been unable to stop reading every time I’ve read one of the books! Yelena’s been an incredible, strong heroine, who’s grown and discovered so much about herself and the world around her over the 3 books. She’s discovered so much. From falling in love, to finding her family, to learning of her powers as a soul finder and defeating all kinds of unquestionable characters along the way. I’m truly sad to see her journey end. This book was exceptional. As easily as good as the first two, if not better. Not that I expected anything less. Maria V. Snyder has created a world so unique and filled with a whole cast of characters who are such gems that it’s impossible not to love this series.
Yelena and Valek’s relationship has been a roller coaster ride at times and there’s always something that’s threatened to keep them apart and yet their unbreakable love and faith in each other has never wavered. It’s been a joy to see! In this book, I was absolutely gutted when Yelena thought he’d died. I was seriously sitting there myself thinking ‘that’s not possible’. Luckily he was alright and they got their happily ever after in the end. I’ve loved the friendship Yelena has with Ari and Janco from the first book, and this one was full of them just being….well, ….them. I love their bickering and bantering like little children. Pure Ari and Janco! This series ended on a high, with endless possibilities for the characters. I recommend this with my heart and soul and if you haven’t read this series yet then you need to get out there and do just that!!!!
